Meet Cakes Pastries & More
If you haven't wandered into Cakes Pastries & More on the corner of New York Ave and 11th, put it on your list for this weekend.
Laura and her team are doing something you don't see a lot of. Every bag of their coffee brand sends $1 to a local veteran. If someone comes in and can't afford bread, they cover it. No questions asked.
It's a downtown spot that actually cares about the people around it.
Go give them your Saturday morning coffee run.

Did You Know
The women who designed downtown St. Cloud
The building at 1012 Massachusetts Ave that's now the St. Cloud Heritage Museum was designed in 1922 by two women. Ida Annah Ryan and Isabel Roberts ran one of the only all-female architecture firms in the entire country at the time. Ryan was the first woman to earn a master's degree in architecture from MIT. Roberts learned her craft working in Frank Lloyd Wright's studio. St. Cloud has more of their work than anywhere else in Central Florida.
